Banned by Apple – How Casino and Roulette Games Are Blocked on the iPhone and iPod Touch

With the range of applications, or Apps, available from the Apple Appstore attaining a fresh peak there is understandably a rush of interest from operators pushing to use the iPhone platform to gambling. Online gaming is a huge market, specially within the UK, Europe and Asia, yet so far Apple has confined that the operators from accessing the lucrative iPhone market.

Apple allows three Kinds of online casino applications:

Simulator games bandarqq . These allow you to play free but don’t offer you any cash winnings. Frequent examples include Roulette, Blackjack and Poker. Apple does not have any issue with this specific type of application, also releasing their particular Poker app only called Texas Hold’em. The iPhone Appstore includes several strategy guides and casino systems, including both Blackjack and roulette strategies. Crucially these aren’t permitted to connect to actual cash-play casinos.

Casino Score-card programs. These basic applications allow a user to track their progress after playing matches, for example when playing with a roulette system.

Apple’s recommendations say that”Items you offer for sale might not contain, or link to, porn, hate speech, defamation, or even gambling (simulated gambling is okay )”. This policy is apparent that gaming is acceptable provided that as a real income isn’t involved.

Whether Apple bows to pressure and also calms the recommendations in future remains to be seen. Much depends on the strict US gambling legislation, including Unlawful Internet Gambling Funding Prohibition Act, which have plagued casino operators because of their introduction by George W Bush in 2006. What is clear is that with fast growing fascination with mobile gaming the iPhone is sure to stay a major target for operators later on.
